What Is a Demo Account?

A demo account is a type of account that allows you to practice trading without any risks. It functions as a replica of a live account, with the only difference being that you trade with virtual funds, so on demo, you can practice trading and test tools and strategies for as long as you want — safely and for free.

Benefits of a demo account

With a demo account, you can:

1. Get acquainted with the platform interface.

2. Practice opening and closing trades.

3. Figure out what trade amounts to choose.

4. Learn to analyze price charts and make informed trading decisions.

5. Get a feel for market volatility, trading hours and different timeframes.

How to get started

To get a demo account, complete the registration process on Olymptrade. Once you’re logged in, choose your demo account from the menu located in the top right of your screen, as shown in the picture below.

Tip: On your demo account, make the same trades with the virtual money as you would with real money on a live account. This way, your learning experience on the demo account will be more helpful when you transition to live trading.
