How Do You Calculate the Average Buy Price of a Position?

The best ask price is constantly changing. If you have made several buy trades at different times, the buy price of the instrument you’ve purchased may have been different. The buy price we use to calculate the profit or loss is the average position price.

This value is equal to the total amount of position investments divided by the number of units in it.
