Bonus & trading task

Not enough real funds to open a trade

Even though your overall balance with the bonus looks large enough, there might not be enough real funds on your account to meet the 67/33% funds-to-bonus proportion needed to open a trade.

Imagine your initial bonus conditions are as follows:

  • Funds: USD 6.70
  • Bonus: USD 3.30
  • Total balance: USD 10
  • Funds-to-bonus ratio: 67/33%

Now, let's say you spend USD 5 in the Market. The funds portion of your balance changes, while the bonus amount remains fixed. Your balance now looks like this:

  • Funds: USD 1.70
  • Bonus: USD 3.30
  • Total balance: USD 5.00

While your total balance is USD 5, you can’t open a USD 5 trade because it doesn't meet the necessary 67/33% funds-to-bonus ratio. With your current balance, that ratio limits your maximum trade amount to USD 2.54, with USD 1.70 as your actual funds and USD 0.84 provided by the bonus.

If you try to open a trade and you don't have enough funds, an error showing the maximum trade amount will appear, so you don't need to keep all these calculations in mind.

There could also be a situation where your total balance, including the bonus, is large enough to open a trade at the minimum amount, but you don’t have enough funds.

To trade further, you’d need to top up your account by making a deposit or internal transfer. Note that when you add funds to an account with a bonus, you won’t get any additional bonuses. However, the ratio applied to your trades will be the same as it was when you received your bonus.
